In-charge DGP Anurag Sharma is likely to get the responsibility of full time DGP of Telangana. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday shortlisted three names, including the name of Sharma for the post.
Hyderabad: In-charge DGP Anurag Sharma is likely to get the responsibility of full time DGP of Telangana. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday shortlisted three names, including the name of Sharma for the post.
The UPSC meeting was attended by the officials of Department of Personnel Training, Home Department and the UPSC panel members. They had a detailed discussion on six candidates and shortlisted three names of Anurag Sharma, Abdul Khayyum Khan and Aruna Bahugana.
The UPSC panel will forward these names to the State government and it would be asked to pick any one of them for the DGP's post. However, the chances of Anurag Sharma being continued as DGP appears to be more, sources here say.
