Many feel that YS Jagan's image has completely faded away in Telangana. The YSRCP chief campaigned extensively in the district and the crowd poured in to his meetings. Even the response for YSRCP leader Roja's campaign was so high that the YSRCP leaders predicted that the party may get at least deposits in the by-poll.
The party's Telangana unit had pinned hopes that YS Jagan's canvass could increase the polling percentage for the party, but the result has come as a shocker for Jagan and his party which seems to have lost its momentum in the newly formed state. Political analysts feel that if Jagan uses this verdict as a wake-up call and changes the strategy, at least the party would survive till the next general elections.
