Nizamabad: A woman constable in the district committed suicide due to harassment by her husband on Friday.The 24-year-old woman constable, Indira, had been working at Two-Town police station of Nizamabad city. She was married to Mahesh of Dharpalle mandal six months ago. Ever since the marriage, she faced harassment from the husband and his family members.
Three months back, Indira took divorce from him and started living at her maternal home in Nyalkal. But Mallesh kept harassing her over phone and pressurising her to live with him. Unable to take it anymore, she committed suicide by hanging at her home in Nyalkal when the family members were away. Nizamabad Rural police registered a case and took up probe.
