Yagam venue being readied Hyderabad: The farm house of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Erravelli in Medak district is being spruced up for the ‘Ayutha Chandi Yagam’ being conducted by him from December 23 to 27. The stage is well set for the yagam, and final touches were being given now, with only three days left for commencement of the ritual. .

The yagam is aimed at world peace, well-being of mankind, apart from the prosperity of the State.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, KCR said that he is the second person to perform such a yagam. He said such a yagam was performed only once so far, under the supervision of Sringeri Peetham. Though it is said that Ayutha Chandi Yagam was performed during the period of Kakatiya kings, there was no evidence as such.

He said that everyone including himself has to follow the directions of the Ritwiks and organisers. He had to observe three days of fasting as part of the yagam. He said that 400 quintals of ghee would be used in the yagam and the ghee is being sent by a friend from Gujarat.
