TRS spent 1,000 crore to woo Oppn leaders: Errabelli

Hyderabad: TDP floor leader in Telangana Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday alleged that the ruling TRS had spent Rs 1,000 crore to lure and buy Opposition leaders during the year.

Speaking to media persons here, Dayakar Rao said while over 2,000 distressed farmers committed suicide in the State, the TRS government had shown the figure at 350.

The ruling party was trying to fool people for votes in the GHMC elections by showing samples of double bedroom houses, he said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would forget his recent promise of waiving water bills after the GHMC elections.

Referring to remarks of Director General of Police that crime rate in the State had come down, Dayakar Rao said it was wrong. Alleging that the TRS government had failed on all fronts during the year, Dayakar Rao said in the entire year the government wasted precious time just by redesigning irrigation projects and failed to control prices of essential commodities.
