Medak: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao got a bit nostalgic while recalling that the people in the district used to maintain friendly relations with officials to complete works under Janmabhoomi programme when N Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

Participating in various developmental programmes in Dubbaka here on Monday along with Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP K Prabhakar Reddy and other officials, Chandrashekar Rao also announced several sops to the constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled that Medak district was in the forefront in implementing Janmabhoomi programme during the previous TD regime “as we used to take works from officials in a very cordial manner.” Chandrashekar Rao said his father wanted him to be a District Collector, an engineer or a doctor as any other father did.

However, he was fond of Telugu language and became a politician and now the Chief Minister, Chandrashekar Rao said. Remembering his childhood friends, Chandrashekar Rao said he would throw a party for them.
