Postcard protest: HCU Students write to President over Dalit scholar death

The Hyderabad Central University students have taken up a new protest - “Postcard to president” to gain the attention of President Pranab Mukherjee on the issue of the Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide.

Putting up posters with the President’s office address, the students are distributing postcards requesting others to write their opinions on the suicide. Next week, hundreds of these postcards will be reaching the President and the students are also planning to meet the President following the lack of response they received from the Central Government over the issue.
