TRS apathy towards students flayed
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the TRS government came to power with the sacrifices of several students during the Telangana movement. The two-day hunger strike of Student Federation of India (SFI), demanding the release of scholarships and fee reimbursement amounts, at Dharna Chowk here entered last day on Thursday.
Khammam: Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the TRS government came to power with the sacrifices of several students during the Telangana movement. The two-day hunger strike of Student Federation of India (SFI), demanding the release of scholarships and fee reimbursement amounts, at Dharna Chowk here entered last day on Thursday.
Extending his support to the SFI representatives, the Congress MLC criticised that the TRS leaders and party chief KCR were worried about winning the elections when people and students were facing lot of problems. He criticised Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageswara Rao that the Minister was neglecting the people of the Khammam district by forgetting his promise to them that he will work for their welfare and development before going to elections.
He assured the SFI leaders that he will raise the issue of pending scholarships and fee reimbursement amount and will fight on their behalf in the Council. SFI district president Naga Raju, CH Ramesh, Kiran, Ashok, S Sridhar Reddy, Congress leaders Md Fazal, Kota Satyam and Chandra Shekar were present along with others.
