KCR announces development activities in Khammam
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is on a two-day tour to Khammam district laid the foundation stone for the Sitarama and Bhaktaramadasu irrigation projects. On the occasion, the Chief Minister spoke at length on the development activities that are being taken up in the district.

Assuring that the drinking water problem in Khammam would be resolved by the end of the year, KCR made announcements regarding the various activities in the district including 5,000 double bedroom flats, outer ring road, modern bus stand construction at a cost of Rs 14 crores, reconstruction of Lakavaram lake and new building for the Corporation.
The Chief Minister revealed that civic issues would be resolved for which a sum of Rs. 100 crore would be sanctioned for Khammam municipality every year and added that Khammam would witness a golden era in its history once the irrigation projects come up.
