Mahbubnagar: Ramanjaneyulu, owner of brick kiln unit at Maganur mandal headquarters in the assembly constituency of Maktal in the district, has set an example by providing education to the children of migrant workers of his kiln.

Ramanjaneyulu told The Hans India that he was moved by the plight of the 60 children after the 200 workers from Odisha lamented about lack of education for their children. But they cannot study in Telugu medium schools as they are from Odisha.

Knowing well that studying in one’s own mother tongue is essential for overall growth of the children, Ramanjaneyulu established the school for the children of 200 workers who migrated here from Odisha to work in brick kilns. He had even employed an Odia teacher by paying Rs 10,000 per month in addition to housing facility.

Ramanjaneyulu said that he had also purchased notebooks, textbooks pens and providing meals for the children. Odisha workers Anil, Raghava, Anand Behara and the villagers Anand Goud, Saibanna and others expressed happiness over the education arrangement for the children of migrant workers.
