Karimnagar: District Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad asked the officials of education department to make all necessary arrangements for conducting SSC and Intermediate examinations. The Collector participated in the district officers’ coordination meeting held at the Collectorate conference hall here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, she informed that a total of 55,423 students will appear for SSC exams to be held from March 21 to April 9. Of them, 27,540 are boys and 27,883 are girls while 3,949 are supplementary students.

Informing that 274 examination centres have been identified, she said they are going to deploy 274 chief superintendents, 274 departmental officers, 14 supplying squad teams and 69 custodians for the smooth conduct of exams.

On the other hand, 96,279 students, including 43,763 first year and vocational and 52,511 second year students will write Intermediate exam. 130 and 129 centres were identified for practical and theory exams respectively. Besides drinking water, she directed the officials to provide toilet facility and benches to write the exam. She asked the Rural Water Supply department officials to provide drinking water.

There should be police force to run the exam smoothly, she said and emphasised the need to deploy additional force at 13 problematic centres.
