Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday issued a warrant for the presence of a builder in the old city to purge himself of charges of contempt of court. The judge admitted a contempt case filed by Sajda Begum. The petitioner pointed out how the builder Maqdoom Moinuddin and his son Moghny Maqdoom were directed not to make any constructions near Mecca Masjid.

The petitioner pointed out how the builder Maqdoom Moinuddin and his son Moghny Maqdoom were directed not to make any constructions near Mecca Masjid.

The GHMC authorities pointed out that the contemnor had proceeded with constructions in spite of warnings from the authorities and a complaint from the Archaeology Department. Deepak Mishra counsel for the petitioner pointed out how the contemnor proceeded to make constructions on the premises near the Mecca Masjid contrary to the court orders and had thus defied the majesty of law.
