GHMC job mela draws huge crowd

In all, 2,500 from the North Zone turned out at the GHMC two-day job mela held at Harihara Kala Bhavan here on Monday. The mela evoked overwhelming response from the unemployed. In all, 35 companies participated in the event, which was inaugurated by city Mayor Bonthu Rammohan.

The qualifications of unemployed who had attended the job mela ranged from that of SSC failed to that of BE. The Mayor said the job mela was held in tune with the State government’s decision to provide placements to the unemployed on a large scale. Additional Commissioner Bhaskarachary welcomed the participants to the event. On Monday, certificates of candidates were verified and appointment orders would be served on them on Tuesday.
