KCR to turn Palamuru to green belt

The Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Thursday that the new irrigation policy of the government would help convert Palarmuru, popular for migrations to a green belt once the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project gets completed.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Thursday that the new irrigation policy of the government would help convert Palarmuru, popular for migrations to a green belt once the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project gets completed.
Giving a power point presentation in the State Assembly on Thursday, he said that once the project was completed, it would help in irrigating about 8 lakh acres of agricultural land. He also said that works on three reservoirs would be completed soon.
He further said that the Nettampadu project is in final stage and would become operational very soon. This would help in irrigating about 25000 acres. The Bhima project would be ready by 2017, he added.
