Nalgonda: Telugu Desam Party state official spokesperson Durgaprasad lashed out at Chief Minister South Telangana for his step-motherly treatment towards the South Telangana region. Speaking to the media at district party office here on Saturday, Durgaprasad demanded release of water to cater to the drinking needs of people of Nalgonda and Khammam districts.

But at the same time, he opined that if this step would have been taken earlier, it would have been useful. He requested the State government to declare Nalgonda district as drought-hit. As a responsible Opposition party, the TDP would always welcome pro-public schemes of the State government but at the same time, the government should take into consideration the valuable suggestions of the Opposition parties on the formulation and implementation of welfare schemes for the benefit of public.

He demanded the government to clear their doubts from the government with regard to the irrigation projects to be constructed in the State. TDP leaders Thummala Madhusudhan Reddy, Gundu Venkateshwarlu, Vijay Kumar, Riyajuddin and others were present.
