As per reliable sources, MLA Venkat Reddy was in touch with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao through Minister Harish Rao, who is a close associative and business partner of the MLA. 

Nalgonda: Deputy CLP leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with his cadre, is reportedly ready to join the ruling TRS by the end of April or during the first week of May. As per reliable sources, MLA Venkat Reddy was in touch with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao through Minister Harish Rao, who is a close associative and business partner of the MLA.

The recent political developments have added strength to these rumors. KCR emphasising Brahmanna Vellemla lift irrigation and Srisailam tunnel projects during his PowerPoint presentation in the House, the dream projects of Venkat Reddy and later the MLA heaping praises on KCR for his ppt show, which the Congress leaders had criticised, gives indications of the MLA switching parties.

According to sources, besides assuring on the projects, KCR also agreed to the MLA’s wish for a minister post, GOs on medical college near Narketpally, sweet orange market with cold storage and juice factory in Nalgonda and contract works to his associates.

Despite strong opposition from district Minister G Jagadish Reddy and other political rivals of Venkat Reddy against the latter’s entry into the party, Minister Harish Rao, who is backing KVR, reportedly was successful in convincing KCR about the need of K Venkat Reddy in the party.

He seems to have exemplified the MLA’s role in the victory of his brother, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy in the recent local body MLC election in Nalgonda district. On the other hand, keeping in view the party and his son and IT Minister K T Rama Rao’s political future, KCR also showing interest in having powerful leaders with strong cadre and sound financial background for the welfare of party in South Telangana districts to win more number of seats from this region in 2019 general elections.

Based on the prerequisite qualities of the MLA, Venkat Reddy, it was assumed that KCR may give green signal to the MLA’s entry into the TRS. Sources disclosed that the Chief Minister had convinced Minister G Jagadish Reddy, regarding K Venkat Reddy’s entry into the party and said that reorganisation of assembly seats and bifurcation of districts takes place very soon.

It was also came to know that KCR told the district leaders that Venkat Reddy will look after the party matters of Nalgonda and Suryapeta district, which were handled by the party leaders until now.
