Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha on Thursday demanded the Central government to pass the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament.

Speaking to mediapersons after paying floral tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar's statue at Tank Bund, she said that passing the Women's Reservation Bill which provides 33 per cent quota for women in legislative bodies would be a real tribute to Dr Ambedkar.

She said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi would support the Centre if it introduces the Bill in the Parliament and announced that Telangana Jagruthi would conduct year-long celebrations of Dr Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary.

She added that a major programme would be conducted in each district every month which would be focused on Dalits' welfare and women empowerment.
