YSRCP district prez to join TRS
YSR Congress district president Mamidi Shyamsunder Reddy and constitutency in-charges of Alampur and Achampeta announced
Mahbubnagar: YSR Congress district president Mamidi Shyamsunder Reddy and constitutency in-charges of Alampur and Achampeta announced joining Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
With Shyamsunder’s departure, the party lost its complete base in the district. The decision to join the TRS party by Shyamsunder Reddy came in the wake of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSRCP president, deciding to sit for a hunger strike opposing the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project in the district.
“We cannot continue with YSRCP as the party is against the development of Telangana and the people of Mahbubnagar. As part of our support to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s development agenda we have decided to join TRS,” Reddy said.
