Warangal: Telangana Telugu Desam working president A Revanth Reddy has accused the ruling TRS of threatening the TDP workers to book them in police cases for questioning the ruling party’s misdeeds.

He said since the TRS came to power about Rs 2.15 lakh crores have been spent but there was no visible development in the State. When the TDP leaders questioned this, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and others were threatening to book cases against them.

But the TDP leaders would not fear the cases as they have bravely confronted intimidation by naxalites in the past, he said while exhorting the party workers to propagate the misrule of the TRS in the State among the public.

Revanth Reddy addressed the party workers at mini-Mahanadu here on Saturday. Referring to the migration of TDP leaders into TRS, he said sincere party workers and leaders in the district remained in the party and the party is still strong here. He said the people in Warangal were politically active; they have started separate Telangana agitation and helped the TRS to come to power. The decline of the TRS would also begin from Warangal district as the people here cannot tolerate exploitation.

The ruling party leaders and legislators were threatening the contractors who were executing Mission Kakatiya and other works to extort money from them. The TDP leaders were exposing such acts of ruling party leaders and the TRS leadership sensing danger was targeting the TDP men, he alleged.

In two years rule, the CM has failed to keep his election promises. The farmers were yet to get loan waiver, free KG to PG education, 12 percent reservation promised to Muslims and tribals yet to be implemented.

The State government was not even able to develop Ekasila Park where Telangana protagonist K Jayashanker memorial was planned. The same with the case with Jayashanker’s birth village which was adopted by the CM.
