Hike in ex gratia proposed
Animal Husbandry and Dairy development Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today directed the officials to prepare proposals to increase ex gratia to the kin of fishermen and shepherds who died in accidents, from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.

Speaking at a high-level review meeting, the Minister said he would talk to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to increase ex gratia, allot 20 acres of land for grazing the cattle in villages and encourage plantation under Harithaharam.
He directed the officials to complete construction of four big fish markets in Hyderabad, being funded by National Fishermen Development Board. The Minister also asked the officials to distribute fish among the fishermen by July 15 before the onset of monsoon.
Stating that Gopala Mitra services would be monitored by Veterinary assistant surgeons, the Minister told officials to provide fodder to farmers and set up veterinary hospitals with staff, medicines and facilities. The government will rethink on GO No. 6 issued for registration of societies, he said.
He further instructed the officials to distribute Vijaya Dairy milk products along with gift packs to Ministers, MLAs, MLCs and District Collectors and strengthen the Dairies for better benefits.
