A team of eight mountaineers from Telangana State Adventure Club has on Thursday successfully celebrated the State Formation Day for the second time in the Himalayas. Led by the Club founder, K Rama Rao, they planted National Flag and Telangana Jagruthi Flag representing 10 districts on Mount Norbu in Himachal Pradesh, which is 5226 meters above the sea level. 

Nalgonda: A team of eight mountaineers from Telangana State Adventure Club has on Thursday successfully celebrated the State Formation Day for the second time in the Himalayas. Led by the Club founder, K Rama Rao, they planted National Flag and Telangana Jagruthi Flag representing 10 districts on Mount Norbu in Himachal Pradesh, which is 5226 meters above the sea level.

They even prepared ‘Batukamma’ and placed it there on the mountain peak. Speaking to The Hans India correspondent over the phone on their successful expedition to Himalayan Mountains, team leader K Rama Rao and team member Arkapally Satyanarayana of Nalgonda district said ‘despite hardships and bad weather conditions, we reached our destination Mount Norbu and celebrated the State Formation Day by hoisting National Flag.

We planted the flags of Telangana Jagruthi and TS Adventures Club and placed Bathukamma.’ Angothu Tukaram of Rangareddy district, N Praveen Kumar of Medak, Sudheer Singh of Hyderabad, Rajashekar Naik, Purohit Vishal Sharma and Nitin Rao of Nizamabad district are the other members of the expedition team.

Vijayalakshmi, wife of Rama Rao acted as the liaison officer for the expedition tour. The team members informed that they are likely to return to Hyderabad in a couple of days and would like to meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to share their feelings.
