Keeping in view Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy's comments against state president Uttam Kumar Reddy that led to the former being served a show-cause notice by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir made an appeal to the Telangana Congress leaders to refrain themselves from criticizing in public.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Shabbir Ali said that Congress was a democratic party with every leader given the right to express their views but added that no one is authorised to speak against each other in public forums or through media. The Congress leader further said that if any issues are being faced with the leadership, they should be raised in party forums instead of going in front of the media.

He requested senior leaders including Komatireddy Venkatreddy, Sarve Satyanarayana, and others to restrain from going to media to criticize the leadership, rather can put it forth before the Congress High Command as open criticism is causing more damage to the party.

Shabbir Ali further urged all the Telangana Congress leaders to adopt the forget and forgive policy rather work united to bring Congress back to power in 2019 elections.
