Nalgonda: Cracking the whip on violators of vehicle rules, the RTA officials on Friday conducted a special inspection drive on passenger vehicles across the district.

Speaking on the occasion, district Transport Commissioner M Chandrashekar Goud warned the owners of all sorts of commercial vehicles to follow the RTA norms to avoid filing cases against them.

He advised the management of educational institutions to maintain fitness of the buses and engage perfect drivers to avoid any untoward incidents while transporting students. The department is planning to intensify the inspections from July first week, in the interest of the public to reduce the accidents in the district, he added.
