Two crore contribution to annadanam scheme.
Free Annadanam scheme of Lord Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple here received a total contribution of Rs 2,00,16,374 from donors during the past 21 months, registering a huge growth in the deposits for the scheme.

The huge growth is attributed to the initiative taken by the former temple executive officer Kurakula Jyoti, who was instrumental in establishing a helpdesk in November 204 near Lakshmi Thayaru shrine in the temple town.
The help desk disseminates information needed by the public and at the same time, receives contributions from donors. The scheme received contributions of Rs 9,61,839 till December 2014. It swelled to Rs 1,45,02,789 and touched the Rs 2,00,16,374 mark by Sunday.
Earlier, donors gave up the idea of contributing to the free food scheme as they were unaware as to where they should make the contributions.
Efforts of the former executive officer of the temple bore fruit and netted unprecedented contributions from the philanthropic public to the free meals scheme.
