Khammam: Manuguru Heavy Water Plant chief general manager Srivatsava performed puja to Lord Jagannadha Swamy, His Consort Subhadra and Balabhadra Swamy, marking the commencement of the ratha yatra of the deities, at Gautaminagar in Aswapuram of the district, parallel to the one held in Puri of Odisha State.
The employees from Odisha working in the Heavy Water Plant have been celebrating the festival in Gautami Nagar under the banner Utkal Pathaghar, for the past several years.
The nine-day car festival will conclude with Bahuda yatra on the final day.
