Warangal: The week-long celebrations marking Lok Satta Udyama Samstha (LSUS) 20th foundation day were launched here on Wednesday.Kendra Sahitya Akademy award recipient Ampasayya Naveen has launched the celebrations at AVV Degree College in Warangal along with the LSUS state advisor Parcha Kodanda Rama Rao and its district convener G Jaganmohan Reddy.

Since its formation on August 3, 1997, the Lok Satta has recorded great achievements in terms of democratic and administrative reforms, prevention of corruption and in protecting peoples’ rights. The organisation has contributed a lot in bringing out Right to Information Act, he said.

The public, mainly the youth, should also lend their part in tackling corruption in government offices and in politics. During elections they should try to elect people with track record as their representatives, Naveen added.
