A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A Shankar Narayana on Friday directed authorities to stop activities pertaining to the stone crusher at Nelakondapally in Khamam district.

The bench was dealing with a petition filed by Rudra Venkata Narayana and 33 other farmers of the village alleging that the stone crusher was in the midst of agricultural land.

They complained that if the operation of the crusher continued, it would affect the fertility of the agricultural land. Initially Tummala Nageswar Rao, Minister, was shown as respondent, but later his name was deleted from array of respondents.
