Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has initiated steps to fill the nominated posts and to reconstitute the State Executive of TRS.

KCR who began the exercise on Friday held consultations with some party leaders and decided to fill the nominated posts in about fortnight’s time. It was also decided to complete the process of constituting the party’s district committees and make changes in the State Executive latest by the end of November.

According to sources, KCR held a meeting with Finance Minister Eatala Rajender and discussed about the formation of party committees in Karimnagar district.

The TRS chief told the Minister that the district party committees would have 24 members including President and General Secretaries in districts which have a population of more than 10 lakhs. The strength of the committees in small districts would not cross 15 members.

Sources said that after the formation of all district committees, KCR would re-constitute the State executive by inducting senior leaders as members.

The executive would be given freedom to take decisions in regard to the functioning of the party and to work out an action plan to popularise government schemes among the people.

KCR is understood to have instructed the Ministers and senior leaders to send a list of names for nominated posts including Chairmen and the Directors in the corporations and Boards.

The meeting is also understood to have decided to hold a mammoth public meeting in Hyderabad during the last week of December.

Party sources say that this meeting would be a crucial one as KCR would give a direction to the party rank and file to face and win the 2019 elections, a senior leader said.

Among those who participated in the meeting were Khammam MP P Srinivasa Reddy and MLA P Rajeswara Reddy.
