Hyderabad: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) has come up with yet another novel concept in its schools by introducing ‘Life Skills Studio’.

First of its kind in the country’s government education sector, each life skill studio will have inter alia a dining table, bed, cot, table, chair, set of plates, cutlery, wardrobe and a dressing table with a view to train children on basic etiquettes, table manners, communication skills, personal hygiene, personal grooming, telephone etiquette, etc.

The programme has been initiated to ignite the minds of poor students from rural background to think big and aim high life, said TSWREIS secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar, while inaugurating the programme at Narsingi school.

He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for Scheduled Castes Development G Jagadish Reddy for their support to the society’s initiatives.

Suma and Anil Vasudevan from A CUBE Services conducted classes for select teachers who in turn would provide training to their students in their respective schools.
