The shortage of IAS officers for the smooth functioning of  Telangana government would get further aggravated in 2017 as four senior most officials are retiring from the services on attaining the age of  superannuation.

Hyderabad: The shortage of IAS officers for the smooth functioning of Telangana government would get further aggravated in 2017 as four senior most officials are retiring from the services on attaining the age of superannuation.

Special Chief Secretary to Municipal Administration and Urban Development M G Gopal and Director General and Executive Officer to MCR HRD Institute Vinod Kumar G Agarwal would retire from services on February 28, 2017.

Backward Classes Welfare Commissioner GD Aruna and Commissioner to Agriculture department GD Priyadarshini would relinquish the office on July 31 and December 31 respectively. The 1980 batch IAS officer Satyanarayana Mohanty who was on Central deputation would retire on June 30 from the services.

The present strength of IAS officers in Telangana is 124. State government pleaded with the Centre for the allotment of 60 officers to meet the requirements of the State administration.
