Hyderabad: The founder of Swaraj India party Yogendra Yadav on Tuesday called upon the Telangana JAC to form a political party in the State.

Yadav was speaking at an interactive meeting on ‘Alternative Politics’ organised by Advocates’ JAC at Press Club on Tuesday. Yadav said that this was the right time for the people who have struggled for a separate State to take a decision.

However, he wanted the JAC leaders to have a long term plans and a new vision. He said that there was no change in the lives of the people even after two and half years of the formation of Telangana.

The former leader of Aam Aadmi Party stressed on the need for internal democracy, transparency and accountability for alternative politics. “Without politics we cannot bring change but the present day politics lacked different ideas.

For alternative politics there should be different agenda,” said Yogendra Yadav. There should alternate vision, organisation and alternate political culture, he added.

He said that the existing politics is limited in and around a 'dictator' in a party. “The DMK party, which was started as a movement was not the property of Karunanidhi but today people talk about his son Stalin or his brother becoming Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. BSP a party of weaker sections is now known as Mayavati party where the president sits on chair and MLAs on the ground,” said Yadav.

JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram said that the JAC was trying to bring in a change in the present day politics. He indicated that there would be political expression in future. However, he said that there was a need for a strong agitation for this.
