Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was elected as party president for 16th consecutive time at the party\'s annual plenary in Hyderabad on Friday.Returning officer and Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy declared that K Chandrashekar Rao was elected unopposed as the party president before the beginning of the plenary. Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was elected as party president for 16th consecutive time at the party's annual plenary in Hyderabad on Friday.Returning officer and Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy declared that K Chandrashekar Rao was elected unopposed as the party president before the beginning of the plenary. He said 11 sets of nominations were filed in support of KCR.
Soon after the announcement, party leaders made a beeline to thank the Chief Minister. Rao thanked the party leaders for electing him as party president and for the faith they reposed in him for the last 16 years. Will strive to fulfill the aspirations and dreams of Telangana again, he said. Earlier, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao paid floral tributes to Telangana martyrs and recalled there services and sacrifices during the separate State movement.
