Ponnala fires failure salvo against govt
Terming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) 16th foundation day public meeting held in the name of ‘Pragathi Nivedhana’ in Warangal as ‘Adhikara Arata Aavedhana’ meeting, Congress senior leader and former Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah said Orugallu (Warangal) meeting would turn as prologue to the downfall of the TRS.
Hyderabad: Terming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) 16th foundation day public meeting held in the name of ‘Pragathi Nivedhana’ in Warangal as ‘Adhikara Arata Aavedhana’ meeting, Congress senior leader and former Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah said Orugallu (Warangal) meeting would turn as prologue to the downfall of the TRS.
Speaking to the newsmen at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Ponnala Laxmaiah said the Centre sent the TRS government’s Telangana State Land Acquisition Act back saying that it was not good and the State government destroyed the Land Acquisition Act of 2013. He recalled that the High Court had slapped the State government with regard to contract employees’ regularisation issue.
The State government, which failed to look at the farmers who were burning their crops, was stating that it would transform the farmers as rich people, he said and questioned the State government to tell when it would start the double-bedroom houses construction as the State government had received 22 lakh applications till date. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee official spokesperson Regulapati Ramya Rao was also present at the meeting.
