Hyderabad Collectorate to be relocated soon
The Hyderabad Collectorate at Nampally will be shifted to Rangareddy Collectorate building at Lakdikapul. The 40-year-old building will be shifted to Lakdikapul by the year end.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Collectorateat Nampally will be shifted to RangareddyCollectorate building at Lakdikapul. The 40-year-old building will be shifted to Lakdikapul by the year end.
According toCollectorateofficials, the Collectorate building at Nampally is in dilapidated condition which cannot be renovated. The Collectorate has no proper drinking water and toilet facilities.
They claimed that the Collectorate building at Lakdikapul (current RangareddyCollectorate) has enough office space to accommodate staff and will be helpful for public interaction.
Sources said that the RangareddyCollectorate will be shifted to Shamshabad and after taking up minor renovation works at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad Collectorate will be relocated to Lakdikapul by December.
The State Government which has been claiming to make Hyderabad a global destination has been maintaining its office in dilapidated structures and without even drinking and toilet facilities.
The officials appreciated the government’s decision to shift Hyderabad Collectorate to Lakdikapul after repeated representation by the staff.
