Sudden spell of rain shocks city motorists
Sudden spell of rain surprised citizens of Hyderabad on Friday morning. Several stretches in the city were submerged due to sudden rain.
Hyderabad: Sudden spell of rain surprised citizens of Hyderabad on Friday morning. Several stretches in the city were submerged due to sudden rain. Motorists who were heading to offices in the morning, had a tough time in negotiating the slippery curves and water-logged roads.
Several bikers suffered minor injuries due to road mishaps. However, no casualties have been reported. Several commuters took to the social media platforms reporting about the posing dangers on several stretches.
Several motorists lost balance and skidded off the road at Telugu Talli flyover. The flyover was closed for about 30 minutes resulting in heavy traffic jam. Later, the police sprinkled sand on the slippery portions to prevent further accidents.
Several incidents of vehicles skidding on the roads have been reported at Tank Bund, RTC X Roads, Indira Park, Ashok Nagar, Lalapet, Prasad's Imax and Abids.
