In the murder case of a housewife that took place at her residence - Suraj Arcade apartment at Nanda Nagar in Erragadda, four special teams are looking into the evidence gathered so far. Police suspect that more than one person could be involved in the murder of the housewife, Soumya.

Forensic experts are verifying the sexual assault angle. Police verified the victim's husband’s whereabouts on Sunday night.

The husband, Nagabhushanam who works as a civil engineer with L&T Metro Rail, left the apartment at 8.15 pm to go to the office at Madhura Nagar and returned home after his neighbours informed him about the death of Soumya around 1 am. Police even verified his presence at work from his colleagues.

From the police investigation so far, it is learned that the offender might be known to Soumya as she opened the door. The police are seeking the technical team’s help to access the victim's cell phone, which was dumped in the toilet flush tank.

While the phone has no suspicious SMSes or WhatsApp messages, a team of cops is still analysing the cellphone data, including call details of Soumya and her husband, to find some leads.

Police are looking into the possibility of the involvement of more than one person as the neighbours had not heard any screams from the victim.
