Congress charges Danam Nagender of being an opportunist, questions TRS’ motive

Telangana Congress party backward classes wing on Sunday convened a meeting of party senior leaders in Hyderabad where they charged Danam Nagender who resigned from the party last week, of being an opportunist and only interested in personal gains.

TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar reacted sharply to the allegations made by Nagender that BCs don’t witness any political growth due to a section of caste dominating Congress and said pointed out that the first PCC president of Telangana State was a BC leader.

He also questioned as to why the TRS allowed him to join their party when they had once accused Danam Nagender of being a land grabber.

Congress treasurer Gudur Narayan Reddy also spoke in this regard stating that Danam Nagender doesn’t hold any history of fighting for BC welfare and the Congress party just showered him with the Minister’s post despite the presence of senior leaders such as P Janardhan Reddy, Marri Shashidhar Reddy and Malreddy Ranga Reddy who have won as MLAs from the city.
