Cruel fate leaves mother-daughter duo in lurch
In a cruel of twist of fate, a mother and her daughter are battling against a strange illness. The bedridden duo are even unable to avail themselves of benefit of ration being provided by the government as they cannot go to the fair price shop.

This is the pathetic tale of Amaravarapu Mahalakshmi, who hail from V R Puram village. The village, which was in Telangana region in the past, has now been merged with Andhra Pradesh. She gave birth to three children. She was burdened as she was suddenly forced to be the sole breadwinner for the family as her husband deserted her. To add to her woes, her eldest daughter Rani fell victims to a strange disease.
Mahalakhsmi, unable to bear the sudden death of her daughter, has been bedridden. Her second daughter, Vasantha, dropped out of school, took care her mother and brother. But, alas, she, too, has been struck by a strange disease.
The disease has caused insufferable pain in her hands and legs. Even as mother and daughter are bedridden, Mahalakshmi’s son died in an accident. The family has been devastated.
The mother and daughter depend on the mercy of neighbours even to answer the call of nature. Mahalakshmi has appealed to the government and non-government organisation to help them.
