Banjara Hills: After every downpour, Road no 1 in Banjara Hills gets filled with filth and stench due to overflowing sewerage which is causing the pedestrians, commuters and the traders of commercial lane in Banjara Hills.
“The sewerage overflow takes place with every shower of rain as the rainwater drains are also connected to the sewage system at several points. And most of the drainage lines are ill maintained, which leads to water clogging and overflow,” said a security guard, Sudheer.
“The stench becomes unbearable, and the water flowing on the road creates immense difficulties for all,” said Mohammed Yawar, a store manager. “Several complaints were filed to Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) and yet there is no response,” added Mohammed Yawar.
