Warangal: To revitalise the startup strengths and activities, the government has initiated Startup India Yatra by partnering with State governments and educational institutions.
Under the Ministry of commerce and industries, Department of Industrial Promotion and Policies, and Telangana State Innovation Cell, Startup India Telangana Yatra- van stop has arrived to SR Engineering College (SREC) on Wednesday. The intention of this van visit is to explain various schemes of both State and Central governments towards startups and identify potential ideas.
Entrepreneurship has always been a buzz word in metropolitan cities but after the launch of startup India scheme, many from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities were not in to Entrepreneurship.
To stretch the awareness and startup culture in these cities, the Government of India and Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) has started startup Yatra in 12 districts, which was inaugurated by Minister for ITE of Telangana KT Rama Rao on September 15, 2018 from Hyderabad and as a part of the journey it has arrived to SREC.
During this van visit, students of SREC has shared their ideas with Startup India representative Karandeep Singh. Potential ideas will be taken to the boot camp, which is going to be held on September 22, going to continue for three days.
Selected Ideas from Boot Camps will be connected to seven incubators of Telangana (including SRIX incubator, Warangal) and with the help of government. Sridevi Reddy CEO of SRIX, principal of SREC Dr V Mahesh and startup India college coordinator G Satish Raj have requested the students to utilise this opportunity in building startups and strengthen rural economy.
