Devotees throng Jagannath Rath yatra at Kukatpally
The Mumbai Highway at Kukatpally reverberated with the chants of Hare Rama, Hare Krishna as Jagannath Rath yatra was conducted by the devotees on Sunday Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi flagged off the yatra after cleaning the premises of Vijayalakshmi temple located at Hydernagar with a golden broom
Kukatpally: The Mumbai Highway at Kukatpally reverberated with the chants of ‘Hare Rama, Hare Krishna’ as Jagannath Rath yatra was conducted by the devotees on Sunday. Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi flagged off the yatra after cleaning the premises of Vijayalakshmi temple located at Hydernagar with a golden broom.
The beautifully adorned deities Jagannatha, Subhadra and Balabadra were placed on the chariot and a large number of devotees, including those from Russia, US, Canada, China and other nations, participated in the yatra. During the yatra, devotees danced ecstatically and chanted ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ throughout the procession. The yatra proceeded up to Metro Marvel in Kukatpally. Along with Iskcon devotees, Iskcon priests who came from various states offered special prayers on the occasion.
