Yadadri-Bhongir: Growth in politics is possible only through introspection, Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao opined. On Thursday, he participated in the preparatory meeting for Parliament polls in Bhongir. Addressing the gathering , he said in the recent Assembly elections, the party had lost two constituencies under Bhongir Parliament constituency.
Stating that party lost Nakrekal Assembly seat due to truck symbol and Munugodiu seat, KTR expressed his displeasure over winning Ibrahimpatnam and Tungaturthi constituencies with slight margins.
Even though the party won the Bhongir seat with 25,000 majority votes, in neighbouring Aler the majority was not up to the expectations.
He advised the party leaders and cadre of Jangaon constituency to work hard to improve the majority in the Parliament elections.
“TRS government worked impartially and ruled the State without discrimination. Similarly, irrespective of caste and religion, various welfare schemes were implemented in the State for the welfare of all sections of the society.
Despite all these, the party candidates could not secure pleasing number of majority votes. In view of this, all the leaders and workers of the party must evaluate themselves and work hard to get better majority votes in the forthcoming Parliament elections,” he said The TRS working president also urged the people to give 16 MP seats to TRS in order to bring required funds from the Centre for the development of the State.
Telangana flag must be hoisted on Red Fort besides Bhongir Fort, he underlined. Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy in his speech stated that with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision, the State has become a role model for the rest of the nation with the innovative welfare and development activities implemented in the State in the last five years.
Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao predicted that party would win Bhongir MP seat with a thumping majority of five lakh votes. “Even Andhra people wanting KCR to be their leader,” he said.
Bhongir MP Boora Narsaiah Goud informed that KTR visit to Bhongir has boosted the morale of party leaders and cadre. With the intervention of Chief Minister, the State has been allotted AIIMS at Bibinagar in the district.
Stating that fate of Bhongir constituency would be changed with Kaleshwaram-Godavari, Krishna and Musi waters, he exuded confidence that party flag would be hoisted on Bhongir Fort.
In this meeting, Bhongir MLA P Shekar Reddy, Rajya Sabha Member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Tungaturthi MLA Gadhari Kishore, Aler MLA Gongidi Sunitha, people’s representatives, party leaders and cadre of seven Assembly constituencies under Bhongir Parliament constituency participated.
