'7UP Dance On' contest begins

Visakhapatnam: The two-day '7UP Dance On' contest with the brand philosophy of 'I Feel Up', began here on a grand scale with the participation of 30 teams at the Hotel Grand Central on Saturday. The '7UP Dance On' contest, being held across 15 cities in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, is providing a platform to showcase the talent of enthusiastic dancers. Spectacular talent was brought to the fore during the auditions, which was adjudged by Dhanraj and Ram Prasad who shortlisted dance aspirants basing on choreography, facial expression, body language, costumes and song selection. The winning teams from the city would get a chance to perform for 7UP brand ambassadors Puneeth Rajkumar and STR in the grand finale. The winners will also get prizes worth Rs 51 lakh. On this occasion, Ruchira Jaitly, executive vice-president (marketing), PepsiCo India, said that 7Up's brand has been known for its fresh campaigns to enthral its customers and 'Dance On' would provide a platform to budding dancers to showcase their talent of expression. The contest would be continued at the same venue on Sunday also, he added.
