Sircilla: The TRS government is farmer-friendly and was working hard by keeping farmers welfare as the main objective, said the Minister for Information Technology and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao in Siricilla Rajanna district on Monday.

He paid a visit to the district on Monday to participate in various developmental programmes.The Minister laid foundation stones for the construction of Community hall at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs, cc roads at a cost of Rs.65 lakhs and a bridge at cost of 1.2 crores along with inaugurating the 33/11 K.V power sub-station here at Mohinikunta village of Mustabad mandal on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the IT Minister K T Rama Rao said that for giving uninterrupted and quality power supply for nine hours every day to the farmers the government was establishing power sub-stations at various places.

Due to heavy rains this season, many lakes in the state were filled with water and the farmers could expect good yield for their produce.
For the last ten years, the Mustabad tank was not seen with water to its full capacity.

But this year it was filled with water due to the heavy rains, said the Minister. He said that the repairing works of Manair Mid canal are in progress at a cost of Rs.12.5 crores. By investing Rs.43 crore, the works under Mission Kakatiya phase-III will be carried out in the constituency said the Minister.

He also said that in Mohinikunta village the developmental works of roads, canals and construction of various buildings are in progress at a cost of 8.5 crores.

He assured the villagers of installing solar lamps in the Mohinikunta village.The Minister ordered the co-ordinator of Sakshar Bharat to take initiation for providing education to all those persons who are illiterates to make them into literates.

Some of the women informed the Minister that they are not getting the daily wages under Employment Guarantee scheme.The Minister assured the women that the government had sanctioned Rs.300 crores to the banks and they will get their amount very soon.

The Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma, TESCOB Chairman K Ravinder Rao, District Collector Krishna Bhaskar, Revenue Divisional Officer Shyam Prasad Lal and ZPTCs, sarpanchs and others were present.
