Jagtial: The wife of Sanigarapu Gangaram of Sangem village in Korutla has appealed to the State government to arrange his ID cards, who has been found rotting in a prison in Dubai for the last 24 years.

According to the woman, Gangaram went to Gulf, when his two daughters were toddlers. Now both the daughters were married, thanks to the untiring efforts of themother, who worked as a labourer to raise the girls. Gangaram’s wife tried every possible way to locate him in Dubai.

As a last resort, she sent her younger son-in-law there to search for Gangaram. With the help of Gangaram’s photo, he managed to find that Gangaram has been languishing in a prison.

Since there are no supporting documents to send Gangaram back to India, his son-in-law asked his mother-in-law to secure IDs for getting his early release. Gangaram’s wife has appealed to the government seeking its intervention.
