Rotary Club of Hanamkonda to install 85 water purifying plants

The water plants are being installed in partnership with Rotary Club of Secunderabad West and Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills, Atlanta of USA.

Warangal: Rotary Club is going to install 85 water purifying plants (reverse osmosis (RO) plants) under the limits of its 3150 district, which includes entire Telangana State, Guntur and Prakasam districts. The water plants are being installed in partnership with Rotary Club of Secunderabad West and Rotary Club of Emory Druid Hills, Atlanta of USA.

The worth of the plants to be installed is Rs 1.20 crores. A training programme for the effective management of the plants was organised here on Monday under the aegis of Rotary Club of Hanamkonda and its president K Ramanuja Rao chaired the programme held at SVS Engineering College.

The club past governors C Sharath Babu, V Gopinath Reddy, Rotary Club of Secunderabad West president P Suren, secretary Chaitanya, Rotarians Narne Siva Kumar, GSS Prasad, Rotary Club of Hanamkonda members K Indrasena Reddy, D Srinivas, M Satish Kumar and T Vaidyanath took part on the programme along with water plant supervisors and the club members.

Addressing the gathering, Sharath Babu informed that the water plants will be installed at government schools and villages in the coming three months. Siva Kumar explained the intricacies of managing the water plants such maintaining hygiene at the plants.

Prasad said the plants will be set up at the places that are affected by fluoride content in water. Gopinath Reddy suggested that the club members and the plant supervisors should chalk out measures for effective management of the water plants for the next seven years. Rotary Club having 1.3 million members spread over 220 countries laying special emphasis on ensuring pure drinking water to masses.
