Mahabubabad: Farmers in the district should utilise the land purification programme implemented by the State government on a priority basis, urged the District Collector Dr. Preethi Meena here on Tuesday.

The District Collector paid a sudden visit to Amangallu village of Mahabubabad mandal where the land reforming works are underway. She scrutinised the records and suggested to the farmers to utilise the land reforming works properly.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Preethi Meena directed the officials to carry on the land reforming works in a transparent manner taking the cooperation of coordinating committees of farmers present at village level without doing injustice any farmer and not giving any scope for irregularities taking.

She also ordered the officials to thoroughly check the details in the pass books during land reforming works so that the details present in the pass books match with the details that are collected at village level.

The District Collector told them to complete 90 percent of land reform works on nearly 2,000 acres of land present in the village during the first phase within 10 days and the complete the remaining works that confusing during the second phase.

Collector Meena pulled up the revenue officials for not producing the village map when she asked them and told them to work with full commitment.

Tahsildar Vijay Kumar and other revenue staff were present.
