The State government was mulling over enhancing the salary of Home Guards working across the State. This was said by the Commissioner of Police, G Sudheer Babu, while addressing the Home Guards at 55th Home Guards Rising Day ceremony at Warangal police commissionerate headquarters in Hanamkonda on Wednesday.

This was said by the Commissioner of Police, G Sudheer Babu, while addressing the Home Guards at 55th Home Guards Rising Day ceremony at Warangal police commissionerate headquarters in Hanamkonda on Wednesday.

He said the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao and the State DGP have focused on the welfare of the Home Guards, who were making great contribution, towards maintenance of law and order, along with police constables.

Under the commissionerate, a rest room for Home Guards was provided and Police Function Hall was being provided freely for family functions of Home Guards. Similarly, a free medical camp was being conducted for them every December.

The grievance day would be conducted every Saturday to address the problems of Home Guards, Sudheer Babu said while directing the police officials to take steps to ensure admission into schools and colleges for children of Home Guards.

Sudheer Babu inspected the Guard of Honor presented by the police and Home Guards. He felicitated Home Guards B Sadanandam, Krupakar, Ramesh, Sudhakar, and Kumaraswamy in recognition of their services. DCPs Venkat Reddy and Venkateswarlu, additional DCPs I Puja and Ashok Kumar, ACP B Janardhan and others were present.
