Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar on Wednesday ordered the officials of departments concerned to take necessary measures for preventing seasonal diseases in villages.
He chaired a meeting with the officials of health department along with Child and Women Welfare and Panchayat Raj departments to discuss about the prevention of seasonal diseases in villages, at his chamber in the Collectorate in Sircilla.
Speaking at the meeting, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Maruthi said a survey was conducted before-hand in all villages present across the district for organising medical camps to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases.
Necessary measures were also taken for conducting medical camps within a week in identified villages in which tests will be conducted for diagnosing various types of health issues like blood pressure, diabetes, mouth cancer, breast and cervical cancers, he informed.
After diagnosing the diseases at the medical camps, the patients will be sent to government hospitals in mandal and district headquarters for getting better treatment, the DM&HO added.
The Collector suggested the officials of Child and Women Welfare and Panchayat Raj departments to work in coordination for organising the medical camps for preventing seasonal diseases and also to conduct awareness programmes in villages.
District Panchayat Officer Shekar, District Main Hospital Superintendent Tirupathi, District Programme Officer Chandrashekar and the District IT manager Karthik were present along with others.
