Karimnagar: The Task Force police of Karimnagar Commissionerate on Thursday busted a fake educational certificates and job consultancy racket operated by a five-member gang. While the police arrested three of them, the other two were at large.

According to police, Pole Srinivas, a native of Rajanna-Sircilla district, established a coaching centre, named Sri Chaitanya Academy, in Karimnagar in 2009. Later, he floated a fake education consultancy attracting the gullible students of getting them SSC and Intermediate qualification, with the help of Nana Patel Junior College correspondent Ganga Reddy. He used to charge Rs 15,000 per each candidate.

He was assisted by Gurram Narsaiah of Kodimial, Pannoju Mallehsam and Nagunuri Dayakar of Karimnagar in preparing fake rubber stamps, educational certificates, marks memos, study and transfer certificates.

The gang also collected money from Garrepally Yadagiri of Thimmapur mandal, Koyyada Rajaiah of Siddipet district, Velpula Prashanth, Devunuri Bhaskar, Pittala Swaroopa Rani of Karimnagar etc promising them jobs in various government institutions. The police who registered a case launched manhunt for Nagunuri Dayakar and Ganga Reddy.
